David Dunseith

David DunseithDavid Dunseith is one of the most distinguished, experienced and influential broadcast journalists in there islands; indeed further afield.

His work with BBC and ITV on radio and televisionas a presenter, reporter, political correspondent, script writer and documentary maker has spanned some three decades.

He was in the thick of it during the so-called troubles. Despite be threatened, intimidated and assaulted, David’s reputation was that of “the most impartial journalist in the business”. A sharp political analyst, he is respected by politicians across the board.

Internationally David is known through internet broadcasts and BBC World Service. He has also written for several news outlets including the New York Times.

David has been the recipient of several prestigious Sony Awards, one for the European Union, and a Swiss Award for community programming. He was also chosen by the Belfast Telegraph readers as the most popular broadcaster in Northern Ireland.

David has been closely identified with BBC Radio Ulster’s Talk Back show, described by the Irish Independent as “a fine example of what public service broadcasting should be about”. The Guardian newspaper described it as; “an alternative parliament – the people’s parliament.” London School of Economics (LES) broadcast survey; “The significance of Talk Back as a public sounding board in divided community is beyond question.”

David has chaired many conferences, business and political seminars and one-to-one public conversations with well-known personalities in various fields.

Usually, given his pedigree, David is a well known face in the fashion capitals of Europe, assisting his wife Roisin selecting designer clothes for the discerning woman. Roisin, also a broadcaster, runs two boutiques trading as House of DeCourcy.
